Richard Fell is a multi-award winning Producer and Executive Producer of British Television Drama, as well as an experienced manager of creative businesses.
Before joining Carnival in 2013, Richard’s experience includes Managing Director of Fresh Pictures, (part of the Jamie Oliver Group of companies), Executive Producer Tiger Aspect Drama and Commissioning Executive for Drama at BBC4. During his 10 years at the BBC, he was also responsible for creating and running the critically acclaimed drama strategy on BBC4. He ran BBC Fictionlab (part of the BBC’s Drama department), as well as being the first Channel Controller of UK Arena (later UK Drama), the BBC’s drama based cable channel. He was Head of New Media for BBC Drama, Entertainment & Children.
After joining Carnival, Richard executive produced Stan Lee’s Lucky Man starring James Nesbitt and Sienna Guillory, with the show becoming Sky 1’s most successful original drama launch in the channel’s history. He is currently executive producing the series Jamestown for Sky 1.
