8 hour drama series for BBC ONE

CRIME TRAVELLER is an off-beat series which centres around the unconventional JEFF SLADE (Michael French) and his police scientist colleague, HOLLY TURNER (Chloe Annett) who solve crimes by the use of time travel.
Holly''s father, an eminent scientist and expert in time travel, has left her his greatest legacy - a working, albeit unreliable, time-machine. Slade, always charming, always unorthodox and always in trouble, convinces Holly to use the time-machine to solve major crimes. Reluctantly she agrees and so begins the most refreshing crime solving partnership seen on television in recent years.
Slade is in need of help in solving a number of unsolved murders and has his boss GRISHAM (Sue Johnston) breathing down his neck, desperate to fire him from the force. Only that’s not enough for Slade, why just solve crimes? Why not prevent them? The trouble is, time has rules - what has happened, must happen and even as he pits his wits against an army of wrong doers, Slade finds himself combating the greatest enemy of all – time itself.
CRIME TRAVELLER is part who-dunnit, part fantasy adventure. There is romance – as Slade and Holly’s relationship matures and develops. And there is humour – as Slade tangles with the problems and paradoxes that time travel throws his way.
''CRIME TRAVELLER is fun and entertaining'' says creator and writer Anthony Horowitz. ''I have always been fascinated by puzzles, riddles and ''who dunnits'', and time travel adds that extra dimension to enable the crime to be solved''.
