The producers of Downton Abbey headed off the competition at the Producer’s Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles this Sunday. They took home the prestigious David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Long-Form Television ahead of The Kennedy’s, Mildred Pierce, Cinéma vérité and Too Big To Fail.
The Producers Guild of America is the non-profit trade group that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team. It’s awards, which recognise the work of producers in film, television and new media, are in their 23rd year.
