Head of Development
Jo joined Carnival in 2016 as Head of Development, to work across the company's slate and develop new projects and writers.
Jo trained as a Script Editor at the BBCB, following a BA (Hons) in Screenwriting at Bournemouth University. She worked on the first series of BBC 1's Afternoon Plays, Merseybeat and Holby City, before joining Talkback Thames to script edit The Bill, where she became Senior Editor and produced some episodes.
Jo's development career began in 2007 when she joined Hat Trick Productions, where she was first Script Executive and then Head of Drama Development, developing a raft of projects including BBC 1's Fairytales, ITV's The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, and early development of Sky's Critical.
Prior to joining Carnival, Jo was at Kudos productions, where she was Story Producer on The Tunnel: Sabotage in 2014 and then Head of Development.
