Jessica Pope is an award winning Producer and Executive Producer of British Television Drama serving both domestic and International audiences.
Prior to joining Carnival in January 2017 Jessica was an executive producer for BBC Drama Studios and BBC North. She was responsible for developing and running all three seasons of the hit global series The Musketeers, created by Adrian Hodges and all shot on location in the Czech Republic, starring Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera, Luke Pasqualino, Howard Charles, Peter Capaldi and Rupert Everett.
Her other credits include multi award nominated Burton & Taylor starring Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West, directed by Richard Laxton and written by William Ivory; RTS best drama serial winner Good Cop written by Stephen Butchard and directed by Sam Miller; Monte Carlo award nominated Bert and Dickie starring Matt Smith; The Turn of the Screw starring Michelle Dockery; Golden Globe nominated The State Within starring Jason Isaacs; and Quirke starring Gabriel Byrne, directed by John Alexander and adapted by Andrew Davies from the books by John Banville.
Earlier credits include Sense and Sensibility adapted by Andrew Davies; When I’m 64 Winner of the Prix Europa, written by Tony Grounds nd directed by Jon Jones; Archangel starring Daniel Craig adapted from the novel by Robert Harris and shot in Latvia and Moscow; Coup starring Jared Harris shot in South Africa and written by John Fortune and two seasons of Silent Witness, one of the BBC’s most successful returning procedural series.
Jessica produced BAFTA, RTS and International Emmy nominated bio-pic Hawking starring Benedict Cumberbatch and directed by Philip Martin.
Before joining the BBC Jessica worked as a Deputy Commissioning Editor for Channel 4 Drama across shows such as; Pyscho’s by David Wolstencraft; Kid in the Corner by Tony Marchant; Anna Karenina adapted by Allan Cubitt and Guy Ritchie’s Lock Stock the series.
Jessica started her career training as an actress, graduating from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama with their award for Special Merit.
